Patients' and Consumers' Working Party

The European Medicines Agency Human Scientific Committees' Working Party with Patients' and Consumers' Organisations (more commonly known as the Patients' and Consumers' Working Party or PCWP) was established to provide recommendations to the European Medicines Agency and its human scientific committees on all matters of interest to patients in relation to medicinal products.

Composition

The PCWP is composed of representatives from patients' and consumers' organisations that fulfil the eligibility criteria, as well as the Agency's human scientific committees and the Agency secretariat.

The following patients' and consumers' organisations are represented:

• European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC);
• European Consumers' Organisation (BEUC);

• European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP);
• European Organisation for Rare Diseases (EURORDIS);
• European Patients' Forum (EPF);
• European Public Health Alliance (EPHA);
• Health Action International Europe (HAI);
• International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO);
• International Diabetes Federation (IDF);
• International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI).
